Staff and Volunteers
Meet Ashley Dudek - Executive Director
Ashley is the founder of Overcomers and is currently the staff member who develops and facilitates the spiritual guidance sessions and group teachings. Her heart's desire is to see the captives set free, the broken restored, and those struggling with an eating disorder; to overcome it!
Ashley has a background in mentoring and helping at-risk youth, the incarcerated, and other people with mental illnesses and addictions. Ashley graduated from Crown College with a Bachelor's degree in Youth Social Ministry.
"Ashley, what makes you qualified?"
"What makes me qualified in helping people overcome eating disorders is that I have lived it. I have suffered from an eating disorder, depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. I was broken... I was devastated... I wanted to die.... However, I overcame it. I still have my days where the lies want to creep in, but I now know how to fight and war them off. What I learned from this very long journey (and still learning) is what I want to teach, help, and show others"

Meet Nichole Wheatley - Casual DTR (Twin Cities)
Nichole is the head of the Nutritional Guidance. Nichole is a registered Dietetic Technician who brings with her 22 years of clinical nutrition experience and 4 years of eating disorders experience. She received her AAS degree in Dietetic Technology from Normandale Community College and recently completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Northwestern. Nichole is passionate about helping people make peace with food and their own bodies. She also has a deep desire to see people living the abundant life Christ has for them (John 10:10, “I came that you may have life, and have it abundantly”).
"Nichole, What makes you qualified?"
“I struggled with an eating disorder when I was younger and by the grace of God, he set me free. I wanted a career in nutrition so that I could help others have a healthy relationship with food and exercise, by dispelling the myths, and providing knowledge that is factual and balanced. After spending much of my working years in clinical nutrition, God called me to focus on eating disorders which involved going back to school to complete my degree in Psychology, with a biblical approach. Currently, I am working as a registered Dietetic Technician at a local residential eating disorder treatment center. I am passionate about treating the whole person which involves the body, mind, and spirit. True recovery from an eating disorder and freedom to live life fully happens only when you incorporate the healing power of Jesus.”
